Tidbits–“Steak”

The word “Steak” originates from the Saxons, who when conquering Great Britain, came as skilled cattlemen who liked to cook beef on a stick over a campfire.   The Saxon word “steik” means meat on a stick.

When searing a steak, use a very hot pan to prevent it from sticking.

When grilling steak, turn it over when the upper surface begins to be very moist….

Hanger steak “hangs” from the tenderloin as an extension.   Very flavorful!
